Fusion collabs are a type of fanwork that are multi-segmented fan arrangements based on one or more existing music compositions. In each segment, the composition or a part of the composition is arranged into a different musical style. Arrangement styles and compositions used are often taken from or based off of video game soundtracks[1]. Fusion collabs may be accompanied by fanart or other kinds of visual fanwork that depict characters, setting, or other elements of a given source material in the visual style of another.
The format of fusion collabs was established and popularized by the panfandom collective and Youtube group Siivagunner.
