Fruit-of-the-Month Club Minizine is a slash mini-zine. It is a sister zine to Fruit Cocktail.

In July 1991, Ruth Kurz called it "the little Fruit zine I'd agreed to take over." [1]

Description from an undated flyer:

The FOTMClub minizine is dedicated to Harry & Johnny, Ruth Kurz and Teri White, and all the rest of you "slash prevurts" out there who don't get enough (does anybody?). We are now accepting submissions for our very first issue. Following are our guidelines:
  • 1. Each story must contain at least three references to the "Fruit of the Month". Fruity points for originality and creativity. ("Is that a banana in your pocket, or are you happy to see me?" is not original!)
  • 2. Limitations: You know your own limitations!
  • 3. Any dynamic/duo in fandom is fair game, or make up one of your own. (i.e., S/H, H/J, V/D, K/S, S/S, X/X, Y/Y, Z/Z...etc.)
  • 4. You may include Harry & Johnny in the story if you wish. (We love cross universes!)
  • 5. This is intended for light and frothy fun, so humor is actively (absurdly) solicited (ad nauseum) in the form of short stories, artwork, poetry, funny collages, puns, cartoons, etc. We need lots and lots of submissions! (submit, please submit!)
  • 6. The first six "fruits of themon'th" (hec-hee) are as follows: 1. Banana (natcherally!) 2. Peach 3. Apple 4. Kiwi Fruit 5. Grapefruit 6. Strawberries
  • 7. Let your imagination run wild!
  • 8. Editors' prerogative: This may turn out to be "bi-monthly".
  • 9. Issue price will be determined after we receive submissions and find out how long it will be, or how much we can do within four weeks. (We would like to keep it at $5.00 an ish.)
