Fiction-is-not-reality is the name of a pro-shipping and anti-anti discourse blog.[1]

Description

Discourse blog centered around a pro shipping, anti censorship, pro kink, anti thought crime stance. Contains sensitive topics, so viewer discretion is advised. I try to be consistent with my tagging, so you're welcome to navigate using tags to look for or to avoid specific topics. It can happen that certain topics are more heavily present than others for a few days because there's an open thread being discussed and anons are coming in with their own take. When it's about something specific I'll usually make up a new tag. [2]

Focus

As of 2019, the blog's purview included MAP discourse and advocacy. Since all content of that nature was banned from Tumblr, all MAP-related subject matter is confined to Dreamwidth and Twitter.

1) Tumblr: General fandom, fiction, and occasionally social discourse, all as SFW as they can come.

2) Twitter: General fandom and fiction micro-commentary, but with the addition, in the more present social discourse side, of paraphilias (mainly M/AP discourse), s/exual offenses studies and prevention. Marked as N/SFW

3) Dreamwidth: General fandom and fiction commentary that either cannot be posted on tumblr because it would go against its ToS, or that comes from the backup of my old finr blog that got deactivated one year ago. In addition, heavy on M/AP discourse and related sources, together with commentary on paraphilias and k/inks (for those familiar with my old blog, my “childhood discourse” tag is fully up on DW).

The entire blog is flagged as N/SFW.[3]

The About section of fiction-is-not-reality on Dreamwidth described the blog as such:

Pro-MAP? Pro-MAP.

It has happened enough times now that followers projected their own boundaries on me, and then were left in shock when they found out my stance over something irl that for all intents and purposes perfectly followed from my opinions on fictional discourse, so let me repeat it once more. When I say that I'm anti thought crimes, I mean it. Fiction is not reality. Fantasy is not reality. Thoughts/feelings are not actions. Paraphilias are not inherently paraphilic disorders. And I welcome criticism to current knowledge in the scientific community, but it has to be well-argued and logical; personal feelings and moral beliefs are not legitimate counterarguments to science.
