The Madness Underneath is a popular Klaus/Caroline All Human AU fic by Hybridlovelies based heavily on Sherlock Holmes characters and cases. It could be considered a fusion with Elementary as it primarily follows the plot of that series.
It was serialised over the course of a year and a half, from March 2013 to September 2014, on Fanfiction.net. As of August 2019 it has 2,082 reviews and 1,416 favourites. Two chapters of a sequel were later posted in 2015 and 2016.
