The Interview Excerpts

How did you learn about fandom?

I saw an episode of The Sentinel on Sci-Fi and was hooked. Went to the net and found fanfic.

Your first/current fandoms?

Highlander and Star Wars in the 1990s (pre-net days). Now - The Professionals, Starsky & Hutch with a dash of I Spy and Alias Smith & Jones.

What was your first convention?

Eclecticon - 2001.

How did you find about slash?

It was explained to me after someone said 'have you read slash'? I said 'I don't like 'slasher movies.' I found out what it was and that was 'the end.

What has surprised you most about being a fan?

The obsession some people have. :-)

How have your fannish interest/participations changed over time?

I moved from lists to LJ. I still love cons and zines.

If there was one person/event you'd want fandom to remember...

The wonderfully talented Suzan Lovett.

The most awesome thing I ever did in fandom was...

I'm particularly pleased with my automated [fan fiction] archive, Dave and Ken's Diner, Starsky & Hutch.

Anything else you'd like to share?

I have met the most fabulous folks through fandom and now have friendships that have lasted for years.
