Elvis Presley (January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977) was an American rock star and one of the biggest cultural icons of the 20th Century. Among his best-known songs are "Hound Dog," "Don't Be Cruel," "Suspicious Minds," "All Shook Up" and "Jailhouse Rock."

He has sold millions of records around the world for over 60 years and has influenced practically everybody to come along since.

There is some real-person fiction featuring Elvis. Baz Luhrmann's 2022 musical biopic Elvis, starring Austin Butler, caused a renewed interest in fanworks about him. Elvis's music is also commonly featured in fanvids, songfic, and other fanworks.

Elvis RPF

Elvis RPF is usually reader-inserts. On AO3, the top ship is Elvis/Original Female Character. Other pairings are rare. Two stories slash him with Michael Jackson, who was married for a time to Elvis' daughter Lisa Marie.

"Are You Lonesome Tonight?"

"Are You Lonesome Tonight?" was a play (the title is an Elvis song) that was performed in England.

It had fannish interest. Martin Shaw (portrayed Ray Doyle) and Paul Darrow (portrayed Kerr Avon) both took on the lead role in 1985 and 1987, respectively.
