Elvis Presley (January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977) was an American rock star and one of the biggest cultural icons of the 20th Century. Among his best-known songs are "Hound Dog," "Don't Be Cruel," "Suspicious Minds," "All Shook Up" and "Jailhouse Rock."
He has sold millions of records around the world for over 60 years and has influenced practically everybody to come along since. He has had a relatively large affirmational fandom over the decades. Local fan clubs, such as Blue Moon of Kentucky, Elvis Presley Continentals, Tupelo Elvis, and many more remain active to this day.
There is some real-person fiction featuring Elvis. Baz Luhrmann's 2022 musical biopic Elvis, starring Austin Butler, caused a renewed interest in fanworks about him. Elvis's music is also commonly featured in fanvids, songfic, and other fanworks.

"Are You Lonesome Tonight?" was a play (the title is an Elvis song) that was performed in England.
It had fannish interest. Martin Shaw (portrayed Ray Doyle) and Paul Darrow (portrayed Kerr Avon) both took on the lead role in 1985 and 1987, respectively.
