Edmond Hamilton (Oct 21st, 1904 - Febr. 1st, 1977) was an US-American author who mainly wrote science fiction, horror and fantasy and published in magazines such as "Weird Tales“, "Wonder Stories“ or "Amazing Stories“.
He was one of the writers who significantly shaped the science fiction subgenre space opera, thus earning the nick name "World Wrecker“. Among his works are series such as Captain Future, Interstellar Patrol, The Star Kings and Starwolf [1] but he also wrote for DC Comics (Superman and Batman). He was married to author Leigh Brackett.
