Dynasty Scans is a scanlation group primarily known for hosting much of the yuri manga scanlated by other teams on their online reader, "Dynasty Reader".
History
Dynasty Scans first formed in 2005 to scanlate the manga Pastel by Toshihiko Kobayashi. Soon after they went on to scanlate Kashimashi: Girl Meets Girl, their first yuri release, and gradually started picking up more yuri titles. In the years that followed their online manga reader, Dynasty Reader, became the hub for all yuri manga and doujin releases across various scanlation groups.
The simple "story" version is that the remaining staff lost interest in continuing scanlation, but remained interested in building upon the reader. Back then, there was no MangaDex. There wasn't even Batoto yet. Hosting lossless scans on a not-for-profit basis was a rarity, and it was important to them. So, they kept at it and eventually pushed a lot of the boring work off on a few volunteers (like myself). Nowadays I'd think of dynasty-scans.com as just being the domain for the much larger Dynasty Reader. But you never know, maybe someone will pop in eventually and a random scanlation will turn up here.[1]

Dynasty was founded in 2005 in order to pick up Pastel, after it was licensed by Del Rey and Animewaves had dropped the series. The three founding members were Wyvern_D (editor), Co_ol (translator) and ChronoXVIII (editor, proofreader). The group started with only one project but quickly expanded the number of series scanlated, favoring shoujo-ai and manga that had kickass artwork.Everyone hates us now, but loves the reader! Love-hate relationships are the best.[2]
The site's icon image is taken from a Touhou comic by Ayakashi that shows Fujiwara no Mokou and Houraisan Kaguya kissing during a pocky game.[3]

the “SCANS DYNASTY” (often written with word order reversed for unknown reasons) seems to have been a highly influential imperial power in the early 21st century with extremely wide cultural reach. Little is known about them due to a lack of physical records, but it is widely theorized the culture revolved around highly revered ritual priestesses featured heavily in sequentialized art mythologizing the tales of their passionate homosexual unions[4]
