Summary
Answering a mental distress call from Alpha Indii IV, the crew of the Enterprise discovers Akia, a Ghanil. Due to mutagenic plague unleashed by their society's life prolongation project, the Ghanil are literally vampires, and Akia has been imprisoned for heinous crimes against primitive planets.
