Controversy

Some fans believe that Chell was a child captured when GLaDOS took over Aperture Science, while others believe she was an adult who applied to be a test subject. Due to Chell's unclear origins, some believe that there could be a considerable age gap between her and Rattman, who was an adult with an established science career when GLaDOS' takeover happened. Thus, some are squicked by Chellman. However some Chellman shippers dispute the existence of hard canon evidence proving a problematic age gap.[1]
