Emmet/Evelyn, known mostly as DoubleBattleShipping, Emmelyn and/or クダルス (Kudarusu), is a rare ship in the Pokémon fandom. It pairs Emmet (Kudari) and Evelyn (Lesoir), one of the two Subway Bosses from Pokémon Black and White and one of the four Battle Chatelaines in Pokémon X and Y respectively.

-Shipping Name Origin
Emmet/Evelyn's ship name history has been somewhat tumultuous. SweetFrontierBrainShipping was the first to be coined for them, by an anon to the official Tumblr blog for the Neverending Romance ship name list on 25 December 2013.[1] During this time, there was little to no fan activity for the pairing. In 2015, "DoubleBattleShipping" would be coined by a different anon on 09 February[2], though this would be for Enta/Mitsuki from the Pokémon Battle Frontier manga, which has little to no fan activity in it of itself since it's an obscure manga adaptation of Pokémon.
Following the release of Pokémon Legends: Arceus in early 2022, which made Emmet more popular across the fandom overall, shippers unaware that there was a masterlist of pairing names would independently coin Emmelyn, and later "DoubleBattleShipping" for them. This led to some discourse over the name, with some suggesting that fans needed to adopt SweetFrontierBrain,[3] others that the masterlist should be changed to reflect the actual usage of the -shipping name, and/or that because the manga characters were so obscure, their pairing name should be usurped[4] or that shippers should adopt a third name that wasn't on the list yet.[5]
The disparity was brought to the attention of Manqoba, the curator of the list on 31 August,[6] though the list wasn't changed as the list did not arbitrate the actual name in use for the ship. As of 2025, DoubleBattle is used by most shippers, with it being considered an 'unofficial' name on the list.
