Cubeecraft, pronounced “kyoob-ee”, is a style of papercraft toys created by Chris Beaumont that lunched sometime between 2007 and 2008. The first character released was a Stormtrooper from Star Wars. The style quickly rose to prominence after a number of officially licensed pieces were created and featured in bumpers airing on Adult Swim[1] and 4Kids from 2008 to 2009.[2]

While Beaumont creates most of the Cubee's featured on his site he welcomes guest artists to submit their designs. Outside of the official site Cubee's have a vast amount of custom designs using the template that are shared on Deviantart and Twitter. By 2009 it had been added as a subcategory to the Folding & Papercaft section of Deviantart. [3]

As of 2022 there are over 500 official Cubeecrafts covering a wide array of fandoms, though they are generally considered to feature "geek culture".

The subject matter of each Cubee is heavily grounded in the subset of pop culture sometimes referred to as “geek culture”; each piece personifying concepts spanning from classical literature to the newest video game. Originally inspired by commercial package design, I fine-tuned the Cubees structure for over a year in advance of launching it to the public. Cubees are meant to be quick and user friendly.[4]
