Combat! was a 1960s US TV series set during World War II. It originally aired on ABC from 1962 to 1967 and ran for six seasons. The show was the first serialized television drama that featured rank and file U.S. Army infantry personnel, and tried to the gritty realism of life during war. Combat! focused on the lives of the men of 1 Squad 2nd Platoon King's Company (King 2) under the command of Lt. Hanley. Characters were often killed, and happy endings did not always come true.
