Colin Wallis is a character in the web serial Worm and the protagonist of the sequel Ward.
Canon
Worm
Armsmaster is the first hero that Taylor Hebert meets on her first night out as a cape. He tries to convince her to join the Wards but his abrasive manner only strengthens Taylor's resolve not to do so. In the Leviathan fight he sets up other fighters to die to give himself a chance to injure Leviathan; this is ruled as a crime and he's kept under house arrest. Shortly thereafter, the Slaughterhouse Nine arrive in Brockton Bay; Mannequin selects Armsmaster as his candidate. In the ensuing struggle against the Nine, Dragon helps Armsmaster escape; together they modify Dragon's code to give her more independence and extensively modify Colin's body to the point that they are both basically cyborgs. Colin re-enters the public sphere under the cape name of Defiant, working in tandem with Dragon. The two work as an independent hero duo (though often in collaboration with the Protectorate and other hero teams) for the rest of Worm.

Dragon and Defiant continue to act as an independent hero duo in Ward.
