I suggest renaming the mother category Category:Middle-earth and this category Category:Middle-earth Relationships. We usually name categories for the fandom, not the creator, and "Tolkien Relationships" sounds like RPS involving Tolkien. Also, most stories, art and all the vids created in the last decade are based on the Jackson movies, so there is an argument that could be made for naming the categories "Jackson" when we are going by creators. Archives, webrings, ect. involving more middle-earth than just LotR are often called middle-earth this or that, so that would work as a category for us too. --Doro (talk) 07:31, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

I have no objections to using a different name if that's what the fandom uses, but the term "Middle Earth" or "Middle-earth" (hyphen and capitalization vary) doesn't actually cover Tolkien's whole world? ME is one continent (admittedly the most important after the First Age begins, so the setting of most of the later stories). Aman, where the Valar and most of the elves live, is not part of ME, and neither is Númenor, and many stories from the Silmarillion are set in those places. This is probably one reason why the fandom tends to refer to itself as "Tolkien Fandom", and therefore why the pages were all named "Tolkien" long before I started working with them. The world as a whole is Arda, but no one uses that in casual conversation. I think we should probably go with whatever the fandom calls itself; clarity and ease of finding pages for users seems like the most important goal, from my perspective. -the old briar pipe (talk) 18:16, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
