Would it make more sense to move this under Fanfiction Meta instead of Fiction Writing, since Fanfiction Meta is already under Fiction Writing?--aethel (talk) 21:04, 13 July 2019 (UTC)

I think the Fiction Writing was put on there to umbrella it with similar topics, such as Concrit & Feedback, Mary Sue, and Labels & Warnings. While all four of these things apply to fiction, they also apply to vids, art, general fannish introspection, and other things. Perhaps "Fiction Writing" is not solely accurate for all four? I don't know what to replace it with, however.

I also remember some questions on a recent talk page (the last couple of months) where an editor was wanting to make categories for certain tropes and genres, but I can't remember exactly what page that is on. It's a topic that may fit in this discussion. --MPH (talk) 13:03, 14 July 2019 (UTC)

Hm, we could add specific trope meta as subcategories under Tropes & Genres. As for making categories for specific tropes, I recall the question came up years ago and it seemed likely to create a mess (would we be deciding which fics documented here "count" as H/C and which don't?). But then we do have Crossovers because Crossovers are a sort of fandom/fanac of their own and there were pages for it.--aethel (talk) 22:52, 16 July 2019 (UTC)
