CJ Cregg is a character on The West Wing. Before the White House, she worked as a PR agent at a California public relations company. After she was fired from that job, her old friend Toby Ziegler recruited her to the Bartlet presidential campaign. She was appointed Press Secretary when Bartlet was elected and served capably until being promoted to Chief of Staff later on in the series.
