Summary
Is it running from your problems if your problems consider you to be a dead imprint of consciousness that killed their son? Yes, but Danny tries not to think about how his nightmares of his parents trying to kill him came true when they found out he was Phantom. After being on the run from his parents and the government for a couple of months, moving from town to town, Danny ends up in Gotham City and decides to risk staying in Batman's territory. This is gold, I read all chapters in one breath and didn't even had a pause lmao. Danny my boy needs so many hugs, why this sunshine suffers. He has many traumas obviously, but I couldn't handle how touch starved he felt to me in the beginning. Like how carelessly he just was around villains. You still half alive my boy lol.It was so sad, that he lost all he had and can't even see Tucker, Sam and Jazz. So I am relieved he is making new friends and gaining back his frienemies, was so excited when Ember appeared in previous chapter. I need them to be besties now. I absolutely love how you wrote all the characters and their thoughts about Danny. He was pretty much from the beginning but recently even more I think. Also love how all bats are worried about him and he is just chilling with the villains lol. Grundy and Danny are so adorable together and Crock like uncle with bothering kid. Also I hope after Ember there will be more ghosts around Danny. How hilarious it would be if Youngblood just popped out in front of gang kids and be like "it's my babysitter, he needs to play pirates with me".

i cannot possibly express how much i love this fic!! like -my gosh- this does things to me!! and i absolutely love how we're just being fed breadcrumbs of what happened when danny got outed, its really having me on the edge of my metaphorical seat the whole time. oh and ember.EMBER. i love her showing up, and completely forgot she was coming to gotham so it was a surprise.(haha still laughing about baby gang getting recruited to bring down gotham academy to it knees, they'll traumatize snobby rich kids, change lives and maybe start some glorious side hustle that cannot be stopped by any means by admins)
