BurningNightingale was a fan-writer who wrote primarily in the Star Wars, The Silmarillion, The Lord of the Rings, Hetalia, and The Black Magician Trilogy fandoms.
She was known amongst the Black Magician Trilogy fandom as a contributor and often organiser of the monthly story challenge events held on the Black Magician Trilogy forum, and was for a time a member of the administration team on the board. She was arguably best-known for her stories Disturbia and Black Magician Trilogy: 100 Themes Challenge.
She was a member of the Noldorin Icon Family set up by kittykatkanie on deviantArt, her character being Finarfin. She was a participant in the LOTR Community Challenges and a regular participant in The Slashy Santa Fiction Archive exchange challenges.
She has since left these fandoms and this penname is now abandoned/not in use.
Fanfic History
BurningNightingale started off writing Inheritance Cycle fanfiction, then under the penname StuffRocksInnit. Her first published story was entitled Adam The Frog, a comedy about the character Angela getting a pet frog. She then published two chaptered stories, You Won't Forget Me and World Waiting On A Miracle, a Katrina/Murtagh story and a Galbatorixwins!AU.
Later she started writing for The Black Magician Trilogy fandom, first publishing the Black Magician Trilogy: 100 Themes story, which was notable for use of a range of settings including modern AUs and canon-divergence AUs. She later published Disturbia, a canon-divergence AU with a supernatural element, which was arguably her most well-known fic.
Within the Tolkien fandom BurningNightingale was a semi-regular participant in the LOTR Community Challenges and a regular participant in The Slashy Santa Fiction Archive exchange challenges, as well as participating in exchanges between the Noldorin Icon Family members and participation in 2012 Back to Middle-earth Month.
She has written several short fics for Assassin's Creed including the short chaptered fic He Deserves Her. She has also written a few short one-shots for the Hetalia fandom, mostly kink-meme fills.
Collaborations
BurningNightingale has had one collaborator in a published one shot: she wrote Couch 'n' Candles, a Black Magician Trilogy fanfic, with close friend Laura Scofield. She also published an unfinished Hetalia story with her former co-writer Val, also known as LadyofLondon. BurningNightingale had one other co-writer, tumblr user intrustivethot. They never published anything together.
