-Shipping Name Origin

"SkullTrainShipping" and "BleachBoneShipping" were both coined in the summer of 2022 after the release of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, though it's been possible to ship both characters since 2016. The two names were coined within a month of each other, with BleachBone by one of tyranqueen's friends shortly before 19 June 2022[1] and SkullTrain coming later on 18 July by drunkenmantis.[2] Other ship names for them include the portmanteau Guzmet, WhiteSkullShipping and JoltikShipping, the later of which was coined by sepulcherstalkr on 22 July.[3]

As of 2025, SkullTrain is the most popular ship name for them on both Tumblr and Twitter.
