Black Friday is an original horror comedy musical created by Team StarKid. It is their 12th musical overall and the second in their Hatchetfield trilogy, preceded by The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals and planned to be followed by their upcoming show, Nerdy Prudes Must Die. The show features several returning characters from The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals and follows the town of Hatchetfield as the holiday season's hottest new toy, the Tickle-Me Wiggly, hits the shelves and causes people to start to go mad for it, literally.[1]

The show runs approximately 2 hours and 17 minutes. It played at the Hudson Mainstage Theatre from October 31st to December 8th, 2019. It was then released to YouTube on February 29, 2020.

The show was written by Nick & Matt Lang, with music and lyrics by Jeff Blim. It features Jaime Lyn Beatty, Jeff Blim, Corey Dorris, Angela Giarratana, Lauren Lopez, Robert Manion, Jon Matteson, Curt Mega, Joey Richter, Dylan Saunders, James Tolbert, Kim Whalen, & Kendall Nicole Yakshe.[2]

Fandom

Since it is unclear where Black Friday falls in the Hatchetfield timeline, there are a lot of fan theories and meta. Most fanfics are crossovers with The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals, as they take place in the same city.

The most popular ship is Lex Foster/Ethan Green, who form a little family with Lex's probably-autistic little sister Hannah to whom they're pseudo-parents. Ethan is a himbo: stupid, but devoted to them.
