Baccano! is a series with a large cast of eccentric characters and sprawling setting, revolving around the misadventures of a group of immortals created by alchemy. While Baccano's fandom has never reached the size of Durarara!!, the series is critically well-regarded and the anime is sometimes noted for the quality of its English dub.
Fandom
Most popular pairings in the fandom are het, since many of the characters are paired up in canon with a member of the opposite gender. For a long time, the anime was the main form of canon available to English-language fandom, leading to a disparity with Japanese fandom in which certain anime-centric pairings like Luck/Dallas became quite popular among English fans, while Japanese fans concentrated more on characters who only appeared in the novels. In recent years, fan translations of the light novels have caught up and English-language fans have more access to the full canon.
Claire and Luck are the two most popular characters in English-language fanfiction.[1]
