Some Excerpts

Even though I've been in the SPN fandom for a couple of years now, I still feel like a fandom newbie most of the time. I started out in the Bones fandom in 2007 where I spent a year writing shameless h/c and happy, fluffy, shipper fic and then, after a brief detour through the Spike/Angel section of the BtVS fandom, I ended up here and basically continued to write shameless h/c and happy, fluffy, shipper fic. (I've come so far. I know.)

I stumbled across J2 AUs before I ever watched the show (which got me over the RPS squick pretty quickly since I had no idea who these people actually were) but then I watched the first two episodes of the show, just intending to test the fannish waters, and was hooked by the time Dean declared that he didn't do shorts. I got through the first three and a half seasons in a few weeks, started writing fic soon after, and had SPN(RPS) as my primary fandom within a month or two. Obviously there are downsides to being part of such a huge fandom but all the fic, art, vids, comms, challenges, fests, etc. still make me very glad to have made the jump.

Fic-wise, I tend to stay more on the RPS side of things because I like the flexibility of AUs, and I mostly just write the kind of fic that I like to read. I try to experiment with tone, plot, setting, etc. sometimes - with very mixed results - but my main goal is to have fun and enjoy whatever I'm writing, which usually involves really bad jokes and/or ridiculous AUs (hookers! space crime! Chad Michael Murray!)

Sam/Dean and J2 are the primary pairings that I write but I'll write most pairings when it comes to kink meme fic and I'll read most pairings in general, my favourites being John/Dean, Dean/Gordon, John/Jo, Jess/Jo, Sam/Jess and any combination of Jared/Jensen/Danneel/Genevieve. Sam/Dean are definitely my SPN OTP but RPS-wise it's a toss-up between J2 and JDM/Jensen - I keep meaning to write way more JDM/Jensen fic than I have already since I kind of love the dynamic there. :)
