Artemis Crock is a DC Comics character that is known as Tigress or simply Artemis due to her appearance in the Young Justice series. In the comics, she's a villain, while the cartoon series made her a hero.

Canon

Artemis Crock first appeared in Infinity Inc. #34 (Jan 1987). She became a member of the Injustice Society. Before New 52 happened, she was in an on-again, off-again relationship with the second Icicle which eventually led to a daughter, Isabelle, being born.

During the Infinite Crisis storyline, Artemis appeared as a member of Alexander Luthor, Jr.'s Secret Society of Super Villains.

In New 52, Artemis is a human with no powers, but was trained to be a strong fighter. She helps the Teen Titans get their bearings before the Culling begins and introduces them to other meta-teens that Harvest has collected. Artemis is eventually killed. The Titans later discover that Artemis was healed by the Colonel of Harvest's facility, as part of a second phase of Harvest's plans.

Fandom

Due to the popularity of the Young Justice cartoon, fandom surrounding Artemis is made up near-entirety of that series. Although she also appears in the comics and other animated series fandoms' fanworks.

Shipping

In the Earth-16, fans often shipped her with her canon love interest Wally West. However she's also been shipped with Dick Grayson, Zatanna Zatara, and Kaldur.
