Alana/Margot or Marlana is a femslash pairing in the Hannibal (TV series) fandom.
Canon
In season 3, Alana is shown to have survived her fall and has begun to recover. Alana becomes Mason Verger's therapist and begins working with him to try and capture Hannibal and, in the process, grows close to his sister Margot, who also has a dark history with Dr Lecter. Alana and Margot eventually fall in love, get married and start a family together.
Alana and Margot are last seen with their son boarding a helicopter, fleeing for their lives after it is revealed that Lecter has escaped.[1]
Fandom History
This pairing became canon with the famous kaleidoscopic sex scene in season 3 episode 6 "Dolce", and is often seen as the most healthy successful canon relationship on the show. They were also praised for surviving the 2015-2016 TV season which had a run of several high-profile shows using the Bury Your Gays trope with their female characters. Jokes that more queer characters needed to hop on a helicopter to escape their shows alive were made across fandoms in reference to Alana and Margot's final scene.[2]
