Reactions and Reviews
AFTER YOU'VE TOUCHED THE SKY, aside from having one of the best titles I've come across is another K/S/Mc story and takes place after FOR THE WOLRD IS HOLLOW... This reminded me very much of Gayle F's Between Friends, though it holds up very well on its own. This time, instead of Kirk and Spock planning a rendezvous with McCoy, Spock and McCoy plan one with Kirk... sort of. It's quite complicated and entertaining and a very enjoyable story. [2]
This post-"For the World is Hollow..." K/S/Mc story was somewhat disappointing. It doesn't really resolve the issues of the episode that it follows. And no, sex is not a resolution. Problems are resolved through talking about them, but this Kirk, Spock and McCoy seem to have no problems beyond the issue of K/S/Mc itself. That's one-dimensional. On the other hand, I did like seeing the sort of adventurous McCoy who'd purchase floor padding from Wrigley's for an occasional small orgy in his quarters. That's a McCoy that's seldom seen, and he's more convincing in a K/S/Mc relationship than the conservative and sexually repressed McCoy who is often portrayed in both K/S and K/S/Mc. I believe in the more open and fun-loving McCoy. He gives every indication in the aired series of being the kind of man who likes to raise hell on shore leave. It's about time that we started seeing more of this side of McCoy in K/S/Mc. There is a slight logistical problem, however. You see, if Kirk actually did cry out in orgasm while swallowing McCoy's cum, he'd choke. I almost choked when I read it. I think that if Mara-Lyn had visualized that particular instant, she would have realized that it couldn't have happened the way she described it. [3]
