After Class was a Harry Potter Yahoo! Groups mailing list for the Harry/Snape pairing.
The group was founded by Maeglin Yedi and Nimori in response to the lack of activity and restrictive rules on "a certain Harry/Snape list which shall remain anonymous".[1]
It had an associated archive, which became part of the ETC Archive (now defunct).
As of September 2004, the mailing list had 3270 members.[2] As of March 2007, the list had 5260 members. Starting in April 2005, new members' messages were moderated as a spam prevention measure.[3]
The mailing list was deleted unexpectedly by Yahoo! around August 7, 2007. A new group called Stag and Doe was created in its place.[4][5]
Group Description
Welcome to After Class, an email group for Harry/Snape shippers.Post your fics, fanart, links, story recs, etc. about Harry Potter and Severus Snape. Anything is welcome as long as it is about Harry and Severus in a romantic/sexual pairing.
Please keep in mind that this pairing and therefore this group is slash, that means two men in an intimate relationship. We will discuss all aspects of slash on this list and most fics are rated R or NC-17.
