Reactions and Reviews

1992

I did enjoy finding out in this part two of "My Soul Upon the Forfeit" that there had been a bonding problem causing those hostile attitudes. This was all straightened out when Kirk got home. [1]

1994

This is the sequel, or reverse side, of the My Soul Upon the Forfeit, about mainline Kirk. Disturbed from having been raped in the Mirror universe, he is impotent. He and Spock initiate a four-way bond with the other Kirk and Spock. The reweaving of the contaminated bond, to fade out the dissonance from the parallel bond, was really done nicely. A beautiful, heart-stopping intensity in Spock's rage at Kirk's assault, flaring up in the bond.[2]
