Demyx/Zexion, commonly known as Zemyx, is the slash pairing of Demyx and Zexion from the Disney/Square Enix video game franchise Kingdom Hearts and its related media.

Canon

Owing to the fact that Demyx's introduction in Kingdom Hearts II (2005) comes a year after Zexion's death in Chain of Memories (2004), the two have had no interaction within the games. However, the lore for the founding and history of Organization XIII indicates that they lived and worked alongside each other for as many as 9 years before COM.

While the pair do not interact on-screen during 358/2 Days (2009), the first chapter of the game's manga adaptation shows they playing Twister together in the background.

The two are later resurrected in Dream Drop Distance (2012) and Kingdom Hearts III (2019), respectively, with both of them serving as minor supporting characters in the latter. KH3 marks their first on-screen interaction in the games, where Demyx appears in Zexion's lab to deliver a Replica from Vexen and reunite Ansem the Wise with his apprentices.

One of the main appeals of the pairing is how Zexion's intellectual, scientific background and canonical focus on decorum contrasts Demyx's lazy, carefree attitude, fitting them into the Grumpy and Sunshine ship dynamic.

The fact that one of the two possible combinations of the pairing's Organization ranks is the number 69 serves as a common source of humor and memes due to the number's use as a slang reference to oral sex.

Because Demyx and Zexion are both minor characters, the ship often appears as a side pairing in works focused on other Kingdom Hearts ships.
