Yorktown is a Star Trek newsletter published by the southern Ontario fan club, U.S.S. Yorktown.

It was published five times a year: February, April, June, October and December.

It appears to be a sister zine to Sub-space Communique (published four times a year).

The zine states that Michael J. Yohnicki was the new Admiral and Commanding Officer for the next two years. Other officers were Janice Beck, Steve Bu'Lock, Greg Cameron, and Cindy Campbell.

One key we must all achieve is positive thinking!

The U.S.S. Yorktown no longer supports a policy of you must have a uniform but if you work at making one, participate in events and functions then this will move you up from the Ensign rank up the ladder.

All of us must remember, it's volunteer, it's for fun and it's a club. We don't want to get serious or carried away. I believe the U.S.S. Yorktown can be the most exciting club for sci-fi enthusiasts.

In reviewing member applications, I see a very wide range of you who have expressed an interest in subjects and areas other than Star Trek, Red Dwarf,Babylon 5,etc.but we all have a common interest- Star Trek.

So ask yourself two questions; Why did I join? What can I do to help the club out?
