Reactions and Reviews
I remember reading this tiny story many years ago and being puzzled by it, wondering what it was doing in a K/S zine! I must have been brand new to K/S, cause now it makes a little more sense to me as an alternate universe scenario, but I don't like it any better. Sometimes I just don't want to go where the author takes me, and using other icon characters to simulate Kirk and Spock—in this case The Lone Ranger and Tonto—just doesn't work for me. I'm not the kind of reader who sees a sexual relationship in every male friendship, and I don't find much in the presented tales of the Masked Man to lead me to conclude he and Tonto were more than friends. The reason I'm a K/Ser is because I do see a sexual relationship absolutely struggling to emerge from the Star Trek episodes and movies. I really don't like imposing such a relationship here. [1]
