Reactions and Reviews
1999
I thoroughly enjoyed this little post-V’ger vignette. As Spock escorts Kirk away from the bridge at end of watch, he espouses the need to “show him something”. It seems they’ve been lovers before Gol, but Kirk has uncharacteristically relegated this to the past, at least until Spock has the proper time to adjust.Expecting a talk in the large observation room, Kirk is surprised to be led to a small privacy cubicle which prompts him to ask Spock if he knows what this room is normally used for. Spock knows.
I loved it when Kirk, a bit off-balance in more ways than one, leaned forward against the glass and “the Vulcan interrupted him softly, running his hands alluringly across Kirk’s arms in invitation. “Must we talk now when words would only confirm what we know to be Destiny?”
A nice entry in the speculations about the return from Kohlinar.[1]
