Wretched Descension is a for-profit digital-only fanzine focused on exploring a darker nature to the characters from Genshin Impact.
About
The interest check for this project ran from July 10-24, 2021[1]. Contributor applications ran from August 8, 2021 to September 8, 2021[2], and the zine received 200+ applications in that time[3].
Starting December 27, 2021 and running until January 16, 2022, a story called "Rotten Feast" featuring Kaeya and Albedo and containing some art and Twitter poll elements was posted by the zine's Twitter account[4].
Preorders opened February 14, 2022 and ran until March 14, 2022[5], with the following pricing tiers:
- Abyss Bundle ($20 USD): PDF
- Erosion Bundle ($30 USD): PDF + Digital Merch (Wallpaper, Icons, Printable Stickers, Printable Bookmark)
- Cataclysm Bundle ($35 USD): PDF + Digital Merch + Concept PDF
The zine Twitter account ran a promotional giveaway for a copy of the zine from March 8-12, 2022[6].
Orders were emailed out on May 15, 2022[7].
