Wolf Lake was a short-lived CBS television series that focused on werewolves. It had nine episodes, however only five of the episodes were aired on CBS. The full series later aired on UPN and it is available on DVD.
Canon
- Seattle policeman John Kanin proposes to his girlfriend, Ruby Wilder, and she accepts. However, as she gets into her car, she is attacked and all Kanin finds is a severed hand. He travels to her hometown of Wolf Lake to find some answers. However, his experiences there raise even more questions. What John doesn't know is that some of the inhabitants of Wolf Lake are actually werewolves. The werewolves, or the ones who survive the change, live on the "Hill" and enjoy special treatment, separated from the normal humans. (Wikipedia)

Fandom
Wolf Lake fandom is fairly small (but predictable) for the short-lived television series. The fandom is mainly located on Fanfiction.net and LiveJournal. In 2010, fans started posting to Archive of Our Own with fanworks. There is some activity on Tumblr for the series as well. A few vids were posted to YouTube.
The main pairings of the fandom is Luke/Sophia and John/Ruby.
Paul Wesley (Luke in the series) fans are sometimes inspired to do same-actor crossovers (or at least compares the two) with his Vampire Diaries character, Stefan Salvatore - which is a vampire (Example: stefan vs. luke - Howl).
