With This Ring is a Merlin/Arthur story by marguerite_26 (~10,000 words). It was written and posted anonymously for merlin_muses. The author reveal was about a month later.
Summary: After being enchanted, Uther forces Arthur and Merlin to marry.
The story was written before S3 started airing and was intended to take place post-S2. Incidentally, it was posted a day before episode 3.06 where Uther tries to force Arthur to marry.

Forced!bonding in Merlin fandom. Be still my heart! Oh, this was fabulous! And clearly it's in the best interests of Camelot for the boys to stay together so no one loses face![1]
Merlin sensing the magic in that casket set off a chain of events that was a delight to read. Uther smiling with joy at the impending wedding had me grinning, too. Of course Merlin would realize it was an enchantment because Uther and smiling are not two things that go together. [...] Merlin's reveal went as expected, though Arthur finally knowing deepened their bond in the end. The men finally realizing that their attraction wasn't magically induced made them finally coming together sweeter and I loved the magical light show that went along with the sex. Arthur offering to keep the marriage up for the sake of Camelot is wonderful. He and Merlin will sacrifice anything in their loyalty to the kingdom![2]
This was basically everything I find hilarious about the Merlin fandom. It’s Arthur and Merlin and ridiculous made up rituals and handwaving!magic, and Gaius making shit up, and Uther being bamboozled except maybe not really, and then bam! Arthur and Merlin wind up married and living happily ever after![3]
This is one of my favorite Canon AUs, really. It’s all so sweet, especially at the end when Uther actually lets them stay married.[4]
Great fic that has Uther magicked into making Merlin and Arthur wed. Which actually ends up working out pretty well for everybody.[5]
