Sylvi wingedcatgirl is a writer of fanfic in various fandoms. She has been writing off and on under various names since 2002.
Early 00s
In this era, before coming out as trans, she wrote lOlRaNdOm crackfic mostly for the Legend of Zelda fandom under the name billybobfred. The fics posted under this account have since been deleted, and the Wayback Machine preserves only a few fic titles and the text of the first chapter of an abandoned Battlezone crackfic. (Yes, Battlezone, the shooty tank vector arcade game with zero plot. She was 12 years old and thought it was a hilarious idea.) Her primary work in this era was an Ocarina of Time self-insert titled "Portal to Hyrule", which to the best of anyone's knowledge has been lost to time.
Early 10s
Under her second name, AlwaysInADream, she mostly posted one-shot Harry Potter fic based on various prompts, though there were a one-shots in other fandoms and abortive attempts at longfic. Upon abandoning this name, she deleted the dead longfics as well as a few of the one-shots, though this time the Wayback Machine managed to save everything.
Late 10s
At some point after coming out as trans she permanently settled on the name wingedcatgirl (there's a dated post of this somewhere in her old tumblr but their otherwise-acceptable search function doesn't index post titles and digging through manually is a huge pain). During this time she focused most of her efforts on A Decent Self-Insert, Probably and Beyond the Borders, a pair of self-insert-style Kingdom Hearts longfics, though she also posted a few one-shots in varying other fandoms.
Early 20s
In mid-2021, she started writing Miraculous Ladybug fanfic, including another self-insert style longfic, Tales of Many. Later in the year, she started co-writing the "Nutdealer Expanded Universe" with KiraHeartilly and FacultativeActivity, a crackfic series based extremely loosely on Undertale and Deltarune. In mid-2022 she started writing Cookie Run one-shots mostly focused on her original characters. In late 2022 she posted re: Battlezone The Fanfic, a remake of the above-mentioned Battlezone crackfic, because she was now 32 years old and still thought it was a hilarious idea, just for different reasons this time. In early 2023 she started posting The World Is (Not) My (Fucking) Oyster, a Terraria canon-retelling fic, for which she credits There are no days off in Terraria by thecupcakefox as inspiration.
