Willis Conover was an early science fiction fan who gafiated at some point after the first Worldcon. Fancyclopedia speculates it was linked to the fact that he was on the first planning committee, which was later abolished by William S. Sykora due to a feud with the Futurians.[1]
Conover edited the first three issues of the Science Fantasy Correspondent, through which he began exchanging letters with H.P. Lovecraft in Lovecraft's final years.
