Wildest Dreams is a Kirk/Spock story by Elizabeth Kay and Lynn Thomas.
It was published in the print zine First Time #29.
Summary
"Kirk seduces Spock on the Shore Leave planet, unaware that there are programming problems and that the Spock he seduced is the real one."
Excerpt
"James Kirk beamed down to the shore leave planet alone. He'd had no intention of staying for leave, merely to survey the various beam-down points for the crew. He signed heavily. He didn't often argue with Spock, but when he did, it was always a doozy."
Reactions and Reviews

This was an uneven piece, maybe reflecting the fact that two authors wrote it. In any case, I was confused over whether it was a mirror universe or not. It had a different ending, however, than the usual shore leave planet stories. [1]
Mahogany eyes! I am very grateful for something to call Spock's eyes besides chocolate and umber. Thank you ladies. The 'plot' is a well trampled specimen, but still a good one or it wouldn't be used so often. For the most part it held my interest. Their love scene on the planet was ended so indecisively, I'm not sure they went beyond necking. The little 'twist' as to how Kirk finds out Spock was the 'real thing' was well done, but for some reason the very wording of the rest of the story was vague. The words didn't truly convey what the authors wanted to say. I understand these ladies are new writers. Despite my negative sounding comments above, I shall look forward to other stories by them. I believe they are quite promising. [2]

Some very good language, images. Meaningful turmoil over arguments, over uncertainties of falling in love. Kirk's daydreaming: poignant. I liked each man thinking it was a fantasy persona with him on Psi 2000. Sweet lovemaking, in a romantic style -- rather lovely, charming. Movement or action was disjointed, however. [3]

Not your ordinary, run-of-the-mill "Kirk goes to the shore leave planet and conjures up Spock story". This lovely story is filled with romance and Kirk's thoughts of Spock are truly sublime.
So many moments just swept me away. Kirk realizes in wonderment that he himself had messed up Spock's "perfectly chiseled bangs".
But the best moment of all was when Kirk kissed Spock and the Vulcan made an incredible sound— "A low, soul-stirring groan" — a "magic cry" from his depths.
I loved when Spock said: "There will be no turning back."
And language like: "He had never so desired anyone more, than this person at this moment." [4]
