Billy and Teddy are shown to have a close relationship from the very first issue of Young Avengers (2015), and issue #6 canonically confirms that the pair are dating.
Teddy proposes in the final issue of Avengers: The Children's Crusade.
The couple briefly breaks up during the second volume of Young Avengers (2013) due to Teddy struggling with an existential crisis brought about by Loki suggesting that Billy had used his powers to wish Teddy into existence as an ideal boyfriend. The pair eventually make up and get back together in the final issues of the volume.
The pair are finally married in the 2020 comic event Empyre.
Fandom
Billy/Teddy is the most popular pairing in the Young Avengers fandom.
In 2023, the relationship won 4th place in the first MLM Ship Bracket Tournament out of 32 entrants.
