It was published in the print zine As I Do Thee #12.
Summary
"That's what Kirk asks himself the morning after Spock's pon farr ends... Spock's answer remains to be heard."
Reactions and Reviews
1989
This vignette was unusual in that it was complete within itself. The mood was intense and Kirk's feelings vividly portrayed. The ending was rushed and a little weak, with Kirk demanding to be told he was loved (though this was easier to take if one assumes 'bleed over' from the pon farr made him more emotional than usual); and the apparent decision to bond was too fast for my taste. Also, I couldn't quite imagine Spock saying, "Now, will you listen to me?" Otherwise, a powerful piece, and all the more memorable for having a fairly original slant to the pon farr theme.[1]
