Walter Doherty is a Forever Knight fan, member of the Die-Hards faction. From 2008-2013 he was a prolific writer of FK fan fiction, and has written occasionally since.

Many of Walt's stories fall into series, often featuring Walt's OC, Wade Everett, who replaces Tracy Vetter as Nick's temporary partner while she is recovering from being shot in the series finale, "Last Knight". Wade is described by the author as being "a good-looking, capable, smart-ass, and gay homicide detective who's sometimes full of himself. He's temporarily assigned to the 96th and Nick while Nick's partner, Tracy (who also survived LK) recuperates. He's found out what Nick is."[1]

The Calendar series includes one story for each month except October, which has two.
