There are two kinds of people with special abilities: villains, who are driven by their evil desires, and psykers, who pursue justice and work against villains. Cassian Lee is a very powerful psyker with a good heart. But one day, when he visits his friend in Greece, things take a wrong turn. Following an unexpected chain of events, Cassian ends up in the body of a Korean high school boy... who has just become a villain! Will his sense of justice win in the end or will he end up becoming a cold-blooded villain?

Villain to Kill synopsis on WEBTOON

Cassian Lee is a top-ranked psyker who is ruthless in his treatment against villains. Following an encounter with a villain where he is suspended for using excessive force against a villain, he receives a call from his friend Jeff Malek to meet him in Greece. Jeff is late to the meeting and shows grievously injured, demanding that Cassian take a necklace and leave, quickly. Before Jeff can impart more information, he is killed by a cloaked and masked swordsman. Cassian chases after the assassin, intent on avenging his friend, only to be shocked when the assassin unveils himself to be another top-ranked psyker, Jack Khalid. He and another psyker inform Cassian that Jeff was killed for treason, and that Cassian is also under suspicion due to his connection and meeting with Jeff. Cassian refuses to tell the psykers anything and fights them briefly before attempting to escape. However, he is shot down by a sniper. Before he dies, he wishes he could get revenge, and the necklace in his pocket that Jeff gave him responds to his desire.

He wakes up as a high school student, Gangu Gwon, who is ruthlessly bullied by others, and has just stopped breathing from his head being shoved in a toilet bowl. Cassian finds out that a being in the necklace Jeff gave him, Moros, was able to bring him back to life in a different body. He also learns that he is now a villain with the potential to bring about the apocalypse. Cassian's new goals are to avenge Jeff and to find the Sword of Annihilation, an artifact linked to Moros and something that will help him solve the mystery of why Jeff really died. Cassian is quickly embroiled into villain politics and villain/psyker battles as he fights to become stronger and find out what happened to Jeff, all the while making new allies and enemies along the way.

Shipping

The two most popular Cassian Lee ships are Cassian Lee/Uchan Kim and Driver/Cassian Lee. Many fans ship Cassian Lee with Uchan Kim because in canon, Uchan looks up to Cassian as a psyker, and also reluctantly becomes friends/allies with Cassian the villain, despite having a deep hatred for villains and a distaste for Cassian in particular for using a psyker's name as his villain name. Uchan acts as Cassian's foil throughout the series. Cassian and Uchan also both have fire abilities.

Meanwhile, many fans also ship Driver/Cassian Lee as in the series, Driver willingly yielded his position as the Gadam Vilzone boss to Cassian, claiming that he believed Cassian could make the vilzone better. He also has been a major support for Cassian throughout the series.

Other popular ships include Crow/Driver. Crow often flirts with Driver in the series, although Driver never reciprocates.
