Hi! I saw you removed a fan's name from the list of Claires. If they don't want their full name on Fanlore we can hide the page history so their name doesn't show up there either. But if their name is missing there's a chance someone else will add it again later, so I'd suggest abbreviating it to make it clearer. Maybe "Claire L.F."? If you're in contact with them you could ask what they prefer. --Tiyire (talk) 10:46, 27 February 2013 (UTC)
hi Tiyire, They definitely want it removed. It's a thought, and I will ask her about putting a variant up, but to give some background, a friend posted fic with her full name on it in the early 90s without permission, and it's been fairly hard to dislodge. Its presence is why I haven't tried disambiguating her with her LJ name, for example. --Temaris 27 Feb
Hi Tiyire, I have spoken to the person in question and they would prefer their name not be available at all. It dates from the early 1990s, and we were both surprised to see it included. If the history could also go that would be great. Temaris 28 Feb
- I removed all mentions of her full name that I could find from Fanlore, including the histories. However, I don´t see how using her initials would lead to her full name in any way. To make it clear that she hasn´t been left out I shortened her name to Claire L.F. on Lori's_X-Men_Archive and simply to Claire on the list of Claires. If she still thinks there is a risk of outing I suggest that they contact the Wiki committee directly to discuss this further. --Tiyire (talk) 19:48, 28 February 2013 (UTC)
