Welcome, Kay Shapero! I made a fan page for you. That's the page anyone can edit. Right now it's pretty bare bones, as I simply cribbed some stuff off of your user page. Hopefully, it become more robust. The user page is for you only, and one you can do with as you like -- no one else can edit it. I hope that makes sense! I'm really looking forward to any and all of your contributions to Fanlore. The stuff off the user page is about what I figured people needed to know - that I'm a long time fan of all sorts of stuff, and have been around for plenty of fan history. Which is also why I'm using my real name (and including the one I was known by before picking up my married name). No, it's the name I've used the longest even if it didn't start that way and the one people are most likely to look for. Come to think of it, I'll go add a few aliases I've used from time to time to the page and let it go at that. BTW, is the Sandbox here the same as those in other Wikis, where you can freely try out formatting and stuff? I hesitate to delete someone else's project by mistake, and there is something sitting there at the moment that the comments in the discussion section indicate was in progress last February. --Kay Shapero 06:31, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
