Oh yes, Fanlore would be a little different because we're focused on fanon, not canon. So citing fan comments, social media, blogs, youtube videos etc is perfectly fine! We also have a plural point of view policy which means we try to document multiple opinions or viewpoints within fandom. You might find multiple opposing fan opinions on an individual page as a result. Here are some resources that might be useful to you:

• Category:Introductory Pages has pages with advice for new editors (Help:Cheatsheet is particularly useful for formatting)
• Help:Citing sources includes info on what we can cite and includes a link to the formatting guidelines at the bottom of the page. (Although we don't strictly stick to those formatting guidelines)
