The thing with the image frame in the infobox is probably because floating left and center doesn't work. If you add "left" or "center" to any image on any page, the image doesn't display like it does with floating right. Instead it floats left in both cases, without the grey border, and it doesn't float in the text, instead it's as if you add a <br clear="all"/> after the image because it forces a break. --Doro 12:22, 10 February 2011 (UTC)

This looks so good! I feel like visiting every page I ever edited just to check out the images. ^___^ Things I've noticed: The problem with the border that's as wide as the URL is long only appears when "thumb" is used in combination with "center". Thumb + left will let the image float left with the thin grey border but no grey frame (using the div code that makes an image in the text float under the infobox looks the same). Left or center with a specific image size (like for example 200px) but no thumb will let the image float left or center without frame or border. --Doro 19:24, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for this info! It's a tricky bug to figure out, and as you can see, I've been banging on it for a while -- trying all sorts of css reconfigurations. I'm a bit ill and pressured by school work at the moment, but I will get back to it as soon as I have the time. --Awils1 11:07, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
I think I have floating a thumb left without giving a specific size in the image wiki code working, but it could be a trick of my overtired mind. Have a peak at the bottom image of this page, if you could. --Awils1 12:10, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
It's not a trick of your mind. *g* Floating left actually floats left now. The text still starts immediately next to the image (at least when I'm using Firefox) without the grey space between text and image, but that's a minor problem. We're getting there, yay! Thanks so much for figuring this out. ^_^ --Doro 12:52, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
I'm not sure what you mean by 'grey space' -- floating left is supposed to be inline, which means that the text wraps around it. Same as floating right, while floating center creates the image on a new line (that's called block-leveling, in CSS). Do you have an example of a page with the grey space? --Awils1 14:27, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

I'm afraid that's an example of me not expressing myself clearly. ^^ Also, you've fixed it. Right now I see the floating left image, a frame of circa 2,5 mm (left, right, top) and 5 mm (bottom) that ends with a thin grey border, then maybe 7mm before the text begins (yes, it wrappes around the image). Floating right looks the same only the space between the image and the thin grey border framing the image is a light shade of grey. Before you changed whatever you changed, the text started right next to the floating left image without a 2,5mm + 5 mm space between image and left border of the text. --Doro 16:41, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
ETA: Floating right now doesn't align right the same way it did before. See Tintagel infobox and story banner. It used to be that the infobox and a right floating image aligned on the same line on the right side, that's no longer the case. Also, the space between images in a gallery is now probably a bit too big. /o\ See Bad Romance. The gallery there used to fit on my screen but now I have to scroll. --Doro 17:30, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
