I'm an old science fiction and Tolkien fan that was active in fandom both offline (mostly in SFSF and Forodrim) and on (dear old usenet!) for many years. Due to personal reasons I stopped being active in the late 1990s.

Around 1999/2000 I discovered online fanfiction and slash through Doctor Who. I read (and lurked) my way through many different fandoms - The X-Files, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Andromeda, Yoroiden Samurai Troopers (Ronin Warriors to you Americans), Gundam Wing, Weiss Kreuz, Saiyuki, Stargate SG-1, Harry Potter, to name the most important - until I found popslash in October 2004. Over the next six months I changed, from having been a dedicated lurker I once again became an active fan, and I also seem to have lost the habit I developed during my lurking years of becoming bored with a fandom after a few months. My slide into bandslash - specifically My Chemical Romance - during the autumn of 2007 was very sudden and quite alarming! I tried balancing two fandoms for a while but my interest in popslash slowly waned and these days I read very little of it. I guess that at heart I'm a dedicated fandom serial monogamist and neither fandom bigamy nor polyfannishness is really my thing.

I'm first and foremost a reccer, but I also make graphics, mostly icons and some wallpapers.
