Plumbago in Peril is a Plumbago Capers fanfiction written by PhoenoTiger, aka Joan Smith. It is hugely popular and highly recommended as an example of slow burn romance, and is a gateway fic for many to the romance; for many readers, it was their gateway fic to Kimino fic.[1] The premise of the work is that Jun Kim and Gilberto de Sousa have to travel to an even more idyllic island to solve a mystery together, and they gradually deal with numerous foes and high stakes, comforting each other and slowly falling in love.
Jun Kim and Gliberto de Sousa are on a mission. A mission to an island. A different island. And not all is as it seems... because nothing is as it appears. It's up to them to find out the truth of the mystery, and also the truth of their love for each other. But they have to be careful, because the truth of the mystery just might get them hurt.
