I first joined fandom in 1997 as Maggie the Cat, when Kielle (of Subreality) helped me to post a Generation X fic to the X-Men fic newsgroup.

From there I migrated to Homicide: Life on the Street, where my participation was largely on the Schism mailing list.

Then there was a brief stop in Tour of Duty, which did not have a large online presence and to which I was among a small group that introduced slash and a fic archive called [firebase ladybird].

From there I landed in popslash, renamed myself stubbleglitter, and have happily paddled in those waters ever since. After a few years, the Hiatus in the fandom, and a late-life return to post-secondary schooling, I have branched out into journaling about anti-racist and feminist issues as well as and within fandom. This has led to an over-identification with Lisa Simpson and a change in journal name to the less *nsync-specific bossymarmalade.

In addition to this, I also write for online pop culture zine [Sequential Tart] and maintain the Food in the Simpsons page at [The Simpson Archive].
