The Unofficial Harry Potter Fan Club (UHPFC) was an early Harry Potter fansite founded in July 1999 by Jenna. It hosted a variety of activities, displayed fanworks submitted to the site, and provided canon resources such as a Harry Potter encyclopedia.
Melissa Anelli's 2008 book Harry, A History praises the site, stating: "It created an early standard: be obsessive, and give fans something to do while they waited for a new book. The site featured origins of Harry Potter words and names, puzzles, fonts, excerpts, fan art, fun quotes, fanfiction, and other distractions."[1] However, the book states that the site was founded in 1997 and that Jenna was a "teen". Both facts are contradicted by the UHPFC website, which states that the site was founded in July of 1999, at which time Jenna was already in her late twenties.[2][3]

Hogwarts: A History
Towards the end of its active period and during the Three Year Summer, the UHPFC ran an interactive collab project to submit anything that fans felt would be included in Hogwarts: A History. Fan contributions were then treated as canonical within the context of the collab, so if someone said the House-Elves revolted in 1748, another writer could not add that House-Elves threw a party for the headmaster of Hogwarts at the same time. One popular feature of the interactive collab was a project to write and detail all of the fouls in Quidditch.
